...Taken a few days before Christmas. I couldn't get a good quality
shot for some reason.
Decorating a tree with an 8 year old is so much fun but you end up
with many clumps of ornaments in various locations. LOL. Definitely
not a designer tree... but memory filled.

Loving those doilies and wow, totally looks like a Martha Stewart cover, well if Martha lived in a posh London flat of course - it's got a European laid back appeal about it. I like the gobs of ornaments and then in some areas, less of them, it's very "real", it's casually beautiful without the effort.
Kind of how you'd imagine rolling over and seeing Brad Pitt in the morning. I imagine he'd be there so casually beautiful - hair dishoveled, gorgeous blue eyes, you know -- effortless beauty that is so raw and imperfectly perfect.

My mom tells stories of my brother and I filling the front bottom third of the tree with every ornament in the house, and how she and my dad would go in after we were safely tucked in bed and move everything around to fill the whole tree. We never noticed the difference, but it sure makes me giggle. I remember very clearly how ALL of the ornaments were in a 2 foot square area on the front and how proud we were!

What a lovely tree! I wish I could zoom in to see all of the ornaments you have. Did you make the star for the tree topper? Absolutely gorgeous!
