Don't Jump!

    UPDATE, 1/13/2009 -- This photo is by far my most viewed photo. Almost all of the referrers are search hits for using a polarizing filter. Sadly, I no longer own the camera that took this photo.

    Shot with Fuji Provia 100F and a polarizing filter. The polarization gives that really deep blue in the sky. Just to the right here is a big ass flow of water which would have likely resulted in my untimely, water death. Later in the day I was climbing on a rock farther downstream and I made the rangers unhappy. They ended up flying loops around me from a helicopter until I move back to the shore.

    I don't know who that dude was...

      is this downstream from the falls on the VA side?

      @trentroche: I would consider it sort of next to the falls, but yes on the VA side. If i were to turn around while taking this picture, I could look up the cliff to the main observation deck.

      @cluster2600: I certainly will. I didn't realize such a group existed.

      Yep, I searched for provia + polarizer. Provia skies are already pretty blue, this confirms a PL makes them insanely so. Nice shot.
