I saw this picture on the BBC of a snow covered Great Britain and I just had to upload it. We really are in the grip of one freezing winter here - apparently the snowiest and coldest since 1963. In Lossiemouth, we only have a couple of inches, given that we are by the sea. Inland however, the depth of snow is closer to a foot or two! I for one can't get enough of this wintry weather! :) Oh, and this picture was taken by NASA two days ago. I know that I shouldn't really have uploaded it, but oh well...

Hammy MacG (MacGregor) was put to sleep on the 18th of February 2009. He'd been a pet of our house for about three years but as he got older he started to get frail and develop health problems. By the time he turned three he was suffering from blindness and had almost no feeling in has bcak legs according to the vet. To be honest, the poor little fellow must have been living a hard life. We had to make a decision and it seemed only fair that we took him to the vets to be put down, because as the vet put it "If you were to keep him alive, it would be only for your benefit, not his". As sad as this truth was, we had to accept it, so on the 18th of December of last year we took him to the vet in Forres and had him put to sleep. We then buried him in the back garden next to our other hamsters that we once had. Although it is sad that the little fellow isn't around any more, at least I have good memories of him, and some nice pictures like this one that'll remind me of him. Thanks to anyone who commented on those photos I uploaded; I really appreciate all that you've done :)
