Sagrada Familia: The sculpture of Jesus by Subirachs is highly controversial: it is faceless, its displays the genitals of Jesus and defies the law of gravity. His face, absent on the sculpture of Jesus, is projected on the Veronica. Subirachs was inspired by the chimneys of "La Pedrera" (Antoni Gaudí) for to create the helmets of the Roman soldiers .

The Passion façade includes the Crucifixion and the Veil of Veronica. The Passion (western) Façade was sculpted recently by catalan Josep Maria Subirachs who alledgely followed Gaudi's ideas but added it's own style.

“What they are constructing has little to do with the spirit of Gaudi. It has more to do with building a tourist attraction and for propaganda purposes." said recently Manuel Borja-Villel, the Director of Madrid’s Reina Sofia art museum leading a protest group of influential architects and artists.
