While getting ready to snap some photos, the owner walked out. He's a real nice guy who showed me around inside. It was like stepping back in time. He says it's his retirement project. He isn't ready to open yet, but when he does I'll be sure to keep visiting.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm still fairly new to this photo blending and editing stuff even though I have a bunch of pictures posted. I agree, the truck came out too red. I was thinking about a re-do.

I wasn't thinking about the truck.. The truck is fine I think, but the building was so red because of the blue sky behind. Colors opposite each other in the colorwheel enhance eachother.
The only thing I would change in this picture would be to try to get the halo off of the house. Halos don't look good in hdr pictures I think. But sometimes it's hard to avoid them!

Thanks Lars. I appreciate your honest feedback. I just finished doing a little desaturating and in the process of replacing these. I think it helped, although there's still a bit of halo around the building. I guess the only way to get rid of that is too lessen the strength and/or luminosity in Photomatix?

yeah, both strenght and luminosity can make a halo, but I find that the light smoothing is the larges cause of it all.. I have it on +2 almost on every picture, only some pictures looks better with light smoothing +1 or 0:)
