Pie

Turkey, ham and leek pie. My concession to christmassy meats.

    Recipe:
    Bone a turkey leg
    Chop up some ham
    Slice some leeks

Fry leeks until soft but don't colour.
Add turkey and cook until it reaches that delicious grey colour that turkey goes.
Sprinkle on a bit of flour to thicken the 'gravy'.
    Add in the chopped ham.
Pour in single cream until it all binds together and has a consistency you like.
    Season with salt and pepper.
Stick the filling into a pie tin that you have already filled with pastry (that I didn't make because I'm lazy), stick a lid on and label it so that you don't get confused.
Wash it with egg (I ran out of eggs, so ended up milk washing it...with my fingers. Hence the uneven browning on top) and stick it into an oven at 180degC until it looks lovely,

    Eat.

    Happy boxing day. etc.

I approve of your semi-traditional Christmassy pie.

Excellent pie that I'm sure tasted as good as it looked.
