Saw the boy captured by the television tonight (which he isn't allowed much of). First thing that went through my head was my mother telling me that I was sitting too close to the TV. Then, I thought of the possible scenarios that my children will see in their lifetime, the many forms of 'screen time' that have yet to be invented.
And yes - after the shot - I made him sit back another 6 feet, and turned off the TV after a short episode of "mighty machines".
