0.45x Wide Angle Adapter by cotterik

0.45x Wide Angle Adapter

No photographer should ever dismiss the novelty of point and shoot cameras. Even an avid DSLR user like me likes to use a POS from time to time. You can have alot of fun with some cheap attatchments. For Around £5 I managed to get a 52mm Screw Convertor for my Canon A85 which allows adapters to be fitted as if onto a lens. This particular adapter i got off ebay for about £15 and it gives a bubble wide-angle effect by multiplying the viewing field by 0.42. Also has macro element for close up focus. At this point the lens setup is heavier than the camera itself. Obviously you can screw these adapters onto your DSLR lenses for a cheap alternative to an expensive fish-eye lens. Which I plan to do once I've saved up for my Nikkor 50mm 1.8F D later this year!

RAF Red Arrows - Flyby by cotterik

RAF Red Arrows - Flyby

Royal Air Force Cosford Air Show 2009

Nikon D80 w/ Sigma 70-300 APO

Almost every person at the show was trying to catch the singature flyby shot with the two lead arrows. I almost achieved it but was a split second late. And I was panning at the time so only got the first arrow in focus. But it made for a nice shot nevertheless.
