Raper Creek Falls is located in north Georgia in the county of Habersham. The falls themselves are approximately 15 ft. high and unique in the aspect that the stream is running diagonal across a rock shelf before falling into the plunge pool below.
I took this image back in the fall on one of my many photo trips with my good friend John. I had the occasion to be thinking about the whole concept of true friends yesterday during a conversation about how meaningful a “good cup of coffee and conversation” can be.
I came across this image and remembered that John was with me this particular day. He is somewhere behind me and off to the right, and unless something is different he probably has a picture somewhere in his vast image archives of me taking the shot. So the “remembrance” portion of this title is for you John. Thanks for all the great times and the friendship we’ve developed in part by chasing falls like this one all over the southeast.
