eleventh commandment hat - etsycraft contest - recycled as upcycleBB contest
for the launch of the new magazine craft, etsy and craft are running a contest. this is my entry. the only requirement was to "to represent, reinterpret or remix CRAFT Magazine's logo in any way you see fit" in your chosen craft. we could submit up to three items, but i'm just doing this one. there are four photos in my photo stream if you'd like to see them. i actually thought in the beginning that this might be a good boy hat design... but male friends say no. oh well. it turned into something fun anyhow.
i'm calling it 'the eleventh commandment'
ingredients: 100% wool.
pastel blue and green/blue thrifted and then handdyed by me. the
orange is patons canadiana superwash wool thrifted at MCC, van. the
button is the first i have used of my mother's stash. the pink
embroidery yarn is my own handspun, the white is some inherited crewel
embroidery yarn. 1 of 4.
