LOST in Kaimuki

Ben
Sun (?)
LOST in Kaimuki by Bolo-head Man.
Lost was filming tonight at Sacred Heart's School in Kaimuki. They had a massive set of lights set up and Ben, Desmond and a woman were in the scene (I think it may have been Sun or Penny as she had long, straight, dark hair, now that I look closer, I really think it is Sun). The lighting was tough as it was dark and the huge light banks made it tough to get a decent exposure. I got off one shot before someone nicely asked me not to take pics. They were afraid that someone would spoil the scene and the pics would end up on the internet.

I did get a chance to stand around and watch them film the scene. Sun (?) and Ben were talking when Desmond came from the right of the scene. In a loud voice, he said, "What are you doing here!?!" Then it was "Cut!" and they were packing up.

EDIT
Before I posted these pics for you all to see, I emailed Ryan to let him know what I saw and showed him these images. He posted it to his blog here. If you are a LOST fan, I would highly suggest checking out his blog and subscribing to his RSS feed.

A "Sun shadow"? ^ ^
Cool pix and nice narrative!

I'm probably one of the only people in Hawaii who rarely watches this show. I've seen it a few times, including re-airings of the first couple of eps. Other than the fact that it's filmed here and helps our economy and the film industry of Hawaii, the show is otherwise, "LOST" on me.

It was so dark, I think they needed them. They seemed like they knew what they were doing. There were only about 100 crew members milling about.

I wish I could have taken some pics of when they were actually doing the scene. It was rather interesting.

Thanks dude. Honestly, I haven't turned my TV on in the past 6 months. I will watch the occasional DVD, but that's about it. I watch LOST on DVD after the fact. I make myself wait because waiting for a long time and watching all at once is easier for me than waiting each week. My kids don't watch TV either, the exception is when they are at grandma and grandpa's house. My feeling about the news media and tv advertising is "What lies in front of you and lies behind you are nothing compared to what lies to your face."

I'm glad you had that opportunity. I am also surprised they allowed any cameras anywhere on set. but as the photographer's motto goes, When in doubt, go for it.
