Kids being Kids

I took this picture at a local restaurant during the holidays. C. and his cousin were having a ball blowing air through straws at each other. A visit to Ghetti Town does not warrant a nice quiet meal. Amidst the throngs of screaming children and the blaring of a kid's movie in the background, these two were totally oblivious to their surroundings, so engrossed in what they were doing.

While the image holds no technical merit, it is one of my favorites, and hangs prominently on my wall at home. To me, it represents just what kids at this age should be doing - playing and having fun without a care in the world. All too soon they grow up, and the fun, simple things like this are replaced by the worries of the world. Kids being kids sometimes totally blows me away.
