"Battle in Seattle" films in Vancouver

A crew member adjusts a Seattle-lookalike street sign as "Battle in Seattle", a new film about the WTO riots of 1999, films in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The film is slated to be released in 2007. The cast includes Woody Harrelson and Charlize Theron.

Hey Chris! Sorry not to reply earlier - didn't get notice of your comment for some reason. Anyway, yeah, ironic that they'd film it only three hours away from the real location, but it was probably an economic decision. Or maybe Seattle didn't want to give them the same kind of street access that Vancouver was willing to. Hard to say. Not that we don't double for any number of American cities all the time... that's showbiz!
