Thats SO awesome cory! Ive always wanted to get this kind of shot. Even though I've been to the big island twice in my photography career, Ive never had the oppurtunity to get this. Was the image cropped or were you really that close the the lava? Youre nuts! But anyway, great shot!

My husband and I were here in January 1991 and the lava was flowing even then. I believe Kilauea has been erupting this entire time. Does anyone know?

y, kilauea has been erupting ever since with like 1 day hiatus.... then the following day, she's constantly erupting...
answer to kyler, i've been to the volcano many many times... each time totally different.. some days, lots of activity, some days you hike and hike... and its just so so... keep going, its real exciting stuff, new flows this week... my humble advice, absolutely, STAY UP WIND ! aloha, c

I wanted to ask your permission to use this pic to make a massive collage of all my fave flickr pics. There are 293 of them, and I’m asking for permission from the photographers of all of them (already received authorisation to use ove 160 of them!!!!!). I would print one copy for my personal use.
