Here's my irony desktop...while I was working on this, Lifehack was busy featuring my old desktop! lol Thx again for that honor guys, really made my day.
This desktop is inspired by Saad Baig's DJ series:

I thought the DJ chick would go well with this obnoxious CD Art Display skin I have an odd attachment to...sorry, at work now and can't recal it's name. A few color tweaks to Arcs for Rainmeter, 10ftHUD and Enigma calendar kinda brought everything together.
Editing the Arcs config, I just now realized that all those bars are actually system stats! I had no idea...they're a little hard to get exact figures for on their own, so I included Enigma skins on top of the calendar for when I want a clearer reading. As usual, Desktop Coral reserves the right side of the screen for me when I maximze any window.
Thx to Saad for the inspiration!

An update of my last desktop found here:

Following my fetish of sytem stats blending in with the wallpaper as much as possible, I got rid of the white lines outlining the histograms and tried to make them appear as though there were emerging from the band of color at the bottom.
Some font and transparency advice from tjmarkham really helped me round this one out!

Here's my latest try at my work desktop (I've got a lot of time on my hands and tweaking with rainmeter keeps me looking busy!)
The wallpaper can be found here:

I've got tweaked versions of 10 Foot HUD, HUD.Vision, Enigma and GeoSans rainmeter scripts providing the sys stats and extra bits.
Ever since I saw other people tweaking the colors in 10 Foot HUD, I've always wanted to do the same, and I think some cool effects can be achieved by tweaking the colors of the historgrams and other meters in the system stats.
I used Colorzilla:
to help me select the pink-ish color from the wallpaper so I could tweak the scripts.
The Launchy skin, yFlex2, doesn't really fit, but it's a cool skin and only pops up for brief moments, so I'm fine with it ^^;

HomeDesktopFeb
Here's the desktop I've been using for pretty much most of the new year. I just really love the wallpaper and its colors. It's a actually a fractal image made by Blatte and available here:
exoteric.roach.org/bg/bgal35.html
I've also stuck some system stats on the wallpaper and kept them dark so as not to jar with the overall tone. Makes them really hard to see unless you know where they are. Not really sure why I enjoy such a difficult to use desktop, but its really hard for me to move on from this one...
Visual Style: Nooto
Rainmeter skins: Enigma, GeoSans
