All She Ever Wanted Was Vanilla

    I had not seen one of the classic old-style Good Humor trucks in years.

    On hot summer nights in Jersey, those little square doors on the icebox were the portals to paradise. I can vividly recall the metallic ka-chunk they made when the driver closed them, cutting off the billowing cold white vapor that almost glowed in the blue glare of the street lights.
