Was lucky enough to be flown out to Nashville this weekend by a good songwriter friend to take some shots of her and the band she is a part of called The Red Wine Effect. Though I felt completely out of my league and have never shot band photos before, the girls were a blast to photograph. I'm not good with giving direction as I'm not very comfortable with posed photography. The girls were full of ideas, personality and it certainly helped that they were beautiful! I'll be processing in a hurry so they have some promotional material for their gig at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville this week and really hope they are happy with what I got.

My grandmother was taken to the hospital Saturday because of a perferated ulcer. She had to have emergency surgery and has been in ICU ever since. She's fighting but we aren't sure how long she'll be able to hang on.

Work was kind enough to give me a few days to travel to WV to be by her side.

She gave me this pin for Christmas and I've had it close to me ever since.
