The bazaar at the annual feast of the Church of Panaghia Dexia takes place between the church and the Arch of Galerius: the bas-reliefs depict scenes from the victory of Rome over Sassanid Persia in the wars of 295-299 ACE.

The Shaman from Bavaria

Werner Herzog being photographed with a fan at the Thessaloniki Film Festival. During the Q&A session he repeated his "dictum", as he called it: "The world reveals itself to those who travel on foot".

Now this is a man who once walked in a straight line from Munich to Paris. But I think he means it metaphorically as well as literally.
