True story: I'm moving to Virginia.![]() ![]() Specifically, to the Days Inn on the highway that bares this sign, a few minutes from Joy's apartment. $1,000/month, including daily breakfast (which can easily be hoarded to make a lunch) AND high speed internet! I can work remotely! From a motel! Re(motel)y! I've already scoped out the neighbors, and imagine all the people I would meet! Oh man, all the stories. Someone would clean my apartment regularly and maybe I'd never have to buy soap while there. The Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins combo we patronized is right across the way, with two sweet little benches that we sat on, gazing at and pondering my future residence.
Me: "Ohmygod. Imagine people asking me where I am and I get to answer, 'Um, I'm living at a Days Inn on the side of the road. It's cheaper than living in New York! Party at my Days Inn pad!' Ohmygod, Joy, I want to do this. I'm not even kidding." (Upon having this revelation in the parking lot over ice cream, Joy touchingly said how much she missed me and how she forgot how crazy I was. And she loves it) This is one of the best ideas I've ever had. I'm moving to a Days Inn. Would you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |
