Robberfly Laying Eggs

Robberfly Laying Eggs

This rather large robberfly was flying between grass tips laying eggs. It's weight brings the grass down almost to the ground. During it's egging laying moment, nothing seems to bother it. You can see the little orange eggs if you look a bit closer.

Blue Scalyfin (Parma)

Blue Scalyfin (Parma)

I am not exactly sure which Scalyfin this is even when referencing Graham J. Edgar's Australian Marine Life book. They are quite common though. This one was taken at Point Lonsdale Marine Sanctuary (The Springs).
