mingus ah um rules.

Yeah, great album. I was specifically listening to the Mingus song 'II B.S', which is, to me, immediately evocative of guys running around rooftops with fedoras and skidding Lincols chasing lurching Cadilacs. Check it out, that's the song I was trying to capture.

And I see some Moebius thrown into the mix too, if I'm not mistaken.
Nice, specially the color scheme!

Probably closer to Eisner than Miller's film is gonna get.
Connor Willumsen (43 months ago | reply)
I actually think that Miller's movie is going to be closer to the source than say, The Watchmen. Not aesthetically, it doesn't look as accurate, but I consider The Spirit to be all wit and slapstick with a good yarn tucked in, not so much about the style it's presented. The Watchmen was a very sober, in depth, almost mundane piece of work, while the movie is being presented as a slow motion action adventure. Accurate sets I suppose, but what's that worth besides the satisfaction of the fans?
Of course, this could all be wrong when I actually see them, but those are my thoughts.
