How does one explain
the amazing generosity, sensitivity, creativity
of a person whom one has never met?
across the sea
but connected through this astonishing forum called flickr . . .
I feel so blessed with fellow photographers, artists, writers and
poets who have
truly become friends just through sharing spontaneous feelings and thoughts.
If I inspire, and strike even the smallest spark,
I feel a good deed has been accomplished in the day.
Here is an example of calligraphy by my husband,
inspired by poetry from flickr friend, Jason Novak
created from my latest post.
It is only a doodle, and Richard apologizes for
a line left out . . . but that happens in first drafts . . .
perhaps it's no coincidence the
words, "suspended by branch of tree" are still suspended by ink of pen!
A man should hear a little music,
read a little poetry,
and see a fine picture every day of his life,
in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful
which God has implanted in the human soul.
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ~
