Just ice on a car... we Texans are easily impressed by freezing temperatures.

I wanted to shoot this with my 50mm but I swear I have to be 10 feet from the subject for that thing to focus. As nice as it is to have a 1.8 aperture, I still can't get used to the limitations of that thing.

Much has happened since I last updated everyone on life with Sarah's clone.

Much has happened since I last updated everyone on life with Sarah's clone.

As we had hoped, the clone has proved to be a nice addition to the household chore rotation. What we did not expect? The added expense of hair dye. Seems the clone wanted her own look. I must admit, having the clone be a redhead has certainly cut down on embarrassing make out mix-ups!

Photo modification/manipulation info:
cloning from unplanned pictures (just happened to work together, actually taken months apart)
changed hair color
added a tattoo
removed a tattoo

A few other changes have also occurred. In her ever expanding quest for individuality, the clone changed her middle name. She now goes by Sarah Ashley, or just Ashley when they are both in the room.

That is actually kind of handy. The use of someone's middle name in a loud parental tone is necessary more than you might expect in clone rearing... like when your clone comes home with two new arm tattoos. *sigh* Sometimes she just doesn't think things though...

In other musings, it became clear to me VERY early in the relationship that Sarah was mainly dating a non-super-human primarily because it was hard to convince fellow super beings to do menial labor such as carrying things to the car.

It became equally clear to Sarah that I am a VERY poor subject for physically demanding chores. The jury is still out as to whether Ashley will be a suitable Sherpa. Just between you and me.... I'm not too worried!

Designing Ashley with super-speed thinking and perception SEEMED like a good idea when Sarah first cloned her. That sort of thing is pretty handy when facing off against a whole gang of bloodthirsty hoodlums.

However in practice, we have noticed a LOT of impatient pacing and foot tapping when Ashley is asked to wait while we complete single person daily tasks like mailing packages. This is why a proper beta testing period would have been helpful. Take it from me... NEVER go straight to production when designing new software/hardware.

Sarah really enjoyed taking her clone Ashley shopping for a Halloween costume. At first Ashley didn't really understand why.

But Sarah explained further, Halloween is the one time of year when nobody questions the body shaped trash bags of dripping red fluid she sometimes keeps in her car's trunk.
