I only had the chance to watch the quarterfinal matches. Quite different to the huge arenas of Flushing Meadows in the US Open, the center court of Grand Hyatt is intimate and allowed me to sit right in front of the match. I don't have an expensive zoom lens but the one I had worked just fine in bringing the action home. Having been a fervent follower of tennis online (I check sports.yahoo.com/ten everyday), I know sports photography is difficult. The hardest part is missing on the action as I tried to time and compose shots.

Ms Bremond is currently ranked 56. One of the stunners in the tournament, the French player was however no match to the eventual champion world number 5 Svetlana Kuznetsova who overpowered her 6-3 6-2. (Work has overtaken my priorities lately and I can't believe that it has been 9 days since I last posted! I will try to download more pictures as soon as I get back to Cebu tonight.) the Wismilak tournament at Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia more pics and journeys in colloidfarl.blogspot.com Commentsmykl mabalay says:perfect timing!
