Cacing (pronounced Chaching)

It's a long story but my wife and I affectionately have called her cacing ever before confirmation of her pregnancy. Cacing, pronounced cha-ching is stomach worm (parasitic) in Indonesian. As I've said, it's a long story.

Don't worry kuya Farl, here in the States, 'Chaching' is a new slang for MONEY...you know, the sound of the cash register? So it means good luck in other countries! Hehe!

I received the sweetest gift this morning when my wife gave birth to Francesca Dyan. She's 7lbs 11oz and 51cm and feisty as can be.

The hospital has strict policies against cameras - which is strange - but somehow security last night was lax and I was able to get my Canon Rebel through (a "chance" to fathers, they say).

An hour after delivery, our doctor ushered me inside the nursery and held my beautiful daughter for me to photograph (I was not allowed to hold her yet; she was born by caesarian section). My flash conked several times but worked just when Cacing yawned.
