In one of the walls for instance, stood a magnificent stained glass window that was literally lifted from an Italian chapel built in the Middle Ages. How it found its way to New York one can only imagine. Inevitably, I was drawn to a demure depiction of Mary. This is actually a closeup as the face is no more than 5 inches wide.
