From a photo of the last structure fabricated before he died. It was taken in 81'...or maybe he was 81 years old... hey I'm just kiddin', I do my homework...

This is called the MONOHEX(Fly's Eye) DOME. Fuller's last prototype Geodesic Dome. Nestable Fiberglass components, 50' D - 35' H. Transportable on two eighteen wheel trucks for assembly. Patented in 1965, fabricated under Fuller's supervision in 1981. 7' diameter openings may remain open or filled with plexiglass "bubbles" to enclose structure.
