I haven't much time to go out shooting recently or peruse Flickr. And my hurried and half-arsed attempts at taking pictures have been thoroughly disappointing. But on Friday I gave myself the afternoon off and spent a great couple of hours driving around the Essex countryside. Just what the Doctor ordered.
One of my New Year's Resolutions was to slow down when taking photos. I have this nasty habit of treating the process like it's a race. Maybe it's because I think I'll miss the moment. Or maybe I'm plain impatient. As of late I try to think "SLOW DOWN!" whenever I take my camera out. Think about metering. Think about composition. Think about the light. Explore. Relax. Enjoy.
