Me and Mickey
This should be very disturbing! A variant of the "Parent-Child" Headswap assignment for ds106, I instead swapped me and Mickey when he was a pup in August 2001 (original image www.flickr.com/photos/cogdog/6318291537)

This is beyond disturbing! It gives that quality we talk about when talking about sci fi lit crit, which is the sensation of "estrangement," a disorientation to WAWKI (world as we know it) and the psychological reimmersion in the suggested new world where dogs are our kindly parents, and we are their infantilized pets. You are telling a story here, and that is always the challenge to meet when using a single image and calling it "digital storytelling. " Great example, and I have snagged it as a teaching tool!

It also brings me back to the book "Life of the Monster Dogs" that someone suggested I read based on the resemblance to my (now dusty) Second Life avatar
