i dont understand... after all the efforts to sanitize things... how can you just ferment in a pumpkin and not catch any bacteria??? i'm thinking of my halloween pumpkin after its been sitting outside for 2 weeks and i wouldn't want my beer fermenting in that... how does this work???

wclifton1, these steps were not pictured, but we sanitized the inside of the pumpkin with StarSan no-rinse sanitizer and pitched the beer with a healthy yeast starter.
