Inside Story: Tata Nano
People check out Nano, Tata's revolutionary INR 100,000 car. The Nano was by far the biggest crowd puller in Auto Expo 2008. The buzz was all around and unmistakable. It's eerie when you hear the same thing from every third person in a crowd of several tens of thousands.

That's a groovy little car. I also like the meta shot of the man taking a picture. It demonstrates the "buzz" you are speaking of to see people wanting a picture of themselves sitting in the car. Just look at those smiles. Great shot, man.

@eyeinidas: Thanks! This shot was taken in business hours where people have to pay 5x more to get in. During the general hours, the display area around these cars was so jammed with people that I had to hold the camera above my head and fire blind shots.

Love the nice big tires lol. INR 100,000 - that is a steal? My only concern is the really bad indian roads - looking at those tires and thinking of the planet-size pot holes lol.

These tires are almost of same size as maruti 800. India have 26 years of experience with those tires.

This car made the news here in the USA, too.

@amee: Like jangid mentioned, these are 12" wheels as on Maruti 800. The ground clearance is 10mm more than that of M800 (180mm vs. 170mm) and the reason why the wheels look small is because the M800 is only 1.4m tall whereas the Nano is 1.6m tall.
@slworking2: It's like buying a mechanised shopping cart, ain't it? ;-)
