last weekend i had the pleasure of *finally* visiting these houses! a friend & i spent the entire afternoon examining these places and the surrounding 2 blocks.

i can't wait to go back to st. joseph! it appears to be a treasure trove of architectural wonders, for those who love old old structures...

i can't wait to go back to st. joseph! it appears to be a treasure trove of architectural wonders, for those who love old old structures...

little white shacks, boarded up and painted, so they don't look so dreadful while they await demolition and replacement by spiffy poMo habitats in this quickly gentrifying East End? i felt a little sad ... Austin, don't forget ... BALANCE. the Balance is what makes you a wonderful and interesting place.

(i hope i am wrong, and that perhaps these little places were going to be restored. somehow.) a couple more here
