Cobalt Blue Magic (Chalcopyrite crystals)

One of "my Precious", a new specimen of a crystal of chalcopyrite that has been treated with acid to make it tarnish to these colors of blue, purple and red. See link for more detail about this specimen purchased from the Tucson Rock and Gem Show this year. I'm fairly sure it is from Mexico.

    Wow, what a colors!
    But the link you give for chalcopyrite talks about CuFeS2 - Copper iron sulfide- which has nothing to do with Cobalt? Or are you just playing with your name?
