I noticed her long teardrop makeup and remembered that about 10 years ago, a tattoo like this would be a clue towards a gang member who had a close friend or family murdered. If the teardrop was an outline, it was not yet revenged. If filled in, then revenge for the murder was achieved. I wonder if the anime creator was aware of this symbolism. Of course, what I learned in "Police Academy" back then for my work in a maximum security prison has probably changed over time.

The meaning of the tear drop still stands today.. Even tho the center I work for is Family Support and Early Childhood Education .. It is filled with a lot of lower income and we often see young men coming in court ordered for GED classes after being released from Juvenile Detention.. They are never afraid to tell you the meaning if you ask them about it..

I believe it's "Toiea"...She was "Joker" the Ringmaster for "Noah's Ark Circus" a group performance during the Masquerade...Her Costume was great and it won an award! Congrats to her!

Hello! devildoc18 is right, I'm supposed to be Joker from the Noah's Ark Circus in the manga Kuroshitsuji.

I didn't know that about the tear-drop makeup! I always thought it was just a common design for clowns to wear. I don't think the creator had such a meaning in mind when she gave him this makeup, but she might have. She doesn't elaborate on the past's of any of the circus characters very much. The only thing you learn is that they were all severely abused and then abandoned by their families.
