Super Sunset in the Desert

Yes, there were two very old and very tall saguaros in my vantage point. The first photo I uploaded Wednesday night shows just one. There was a highway sign to the left of the second cactus that interfered with the composition.
This is worthy to appear in Arizona Highways. :-)
Super Sunset in the Desert by cobalt123.
Another of the sunset images from last night east of Phoenix, Arizona. The first image shows just this saguaro to the right, here. This one took alot of work to remove many fine power and telephone lines that I did not see at all when I took the shot. The color is real: if I'm lyin' I'm dyin'...

Thanks N. Aouellette - I had to remove a myriad of fine power lines here to get the final image. The color was just extra special at this time. I was so excited to pull over and start shooting that I completely forgot I had my tripod in the car with me....!

@Garry, you are so funny! (per your note on the image) Now, if I had just remembered to pull out that tripod and oh yes, get a dSLR...

Not long ago I read Isabel Allende's novel, Zorro, in Spanish. She described how young Diego de la Vega discovered his black stallion, Tornado, out in the boonies. I think you need a DSLR in much the same way Diego needed Tornado, and once you get together with it, the two of you will be inseparable -- again, just like Diego and Tornado. :-)
