Poinsettia Corridor

The second image from the hospital corridor (see previous photo for the best composition). Grandma Cobalt took lots of photos in the hospital early morning while waiting for baby Virginia Lee to arrive, December 23. This is a Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix. There are two images of my son's family earlier in this recent series.

Extraordinary angle, depth, colours. Morning light is often glorious.

I sort of figured the "day of deliverance" must have come, as I had seen very little activity by you on Flickr during the past couple of days. Congrats! And I see that you put your camera to good use as well. I think if you had been a passenger on the Titanic, but with your digital camera at hand and available, you would have had the presence of mind the record the whole thing -- including, perhaps, a macro or two of the passing iceberg. :-)

Thanks to poncho, harpreet and Garry for your thoughts today. I've only got 11 photos "done" for the set made for my son and his wife, but tomorrow's another day.

@Garry: yeppers, it is rare that I don't have a camera with me and I have no doubt my last moments on earth will be recorded in my camera as I leap forward to snap yet another picture of something or other.

This is my hospital - I work on the 2nd/3rd floor-telemetry, so does Glyph Hunter. The lights on the wall to the left are meant to represent a DNA strand. I don't really see it, but that's what it's supposed to be :-)

Looks like the floor is paved with gold!

Oh my, glyph_hunter is right, and I thought it was a joke about the DNA strand in the lights! When I get the images online of the shadow play with these lights I'll let foxicat and glyph_hunter know about them - thanks for your comments!
