Photo #3000! Antique Shell Gas Pump
I just noticed that this photo is number 3,000 that I have on flickr. Wow, lots of time, views, and miles have gone by since I first started with flickr. I think my two year anniverary is coming up soon. I'm glad that this milestone image happened to be one I particularly like.
Image from a set I am working on for Chloride, Arizona. Antique gas pump in Chloride, Arizona. The former gas station is decorated with 3 antique gas pumps and is now a small gift shop. This image is a detail view of the Shell gas pump, with the previous two photos showing it in context.

Congrats on your 3000th photo! (I have quite a way to go before I reach that milestone, but I did have my 30,000th view a couple of days ago.) And yes, this is a good one. Gas was probably around 18-20 cents per gallon back in the heyday of this pump.
