Boog Gets a Drink
"Boog" belongs to Kris and Bill, and his name came from "Big Old Orange Guy". A stray who came to stay. But I'd rather friends would look at my concertina wire here, although I do figure that cats are far more popular subjects, ha ha!
Bill reports recently that Boog just died, hopefully of natural causes. Boog was a good ole boy and is missed. Bill has got a photo he took of Boog a few months ago, filling up the bathroom sink as his sleeping place. Take a look at it here.

Oh good grief, my very best image I posted early this morning, and then I got a complaint (see suertudo) so for fun I put up another image that has a CAT, and it gets attention, ha ha! I think that the will of the people (ie. Flickr members) definitely overrules those in flickr who are soooo tired of cats. Thank you all for visiting and commenting. This attention will not be going to Bog's head, I am sure.

Thanks all! I looked and this photo is not in Explore, so I am not sure why that image from Doxieone is here (?) With over 2 million members now in flickr, it is quite a bit harder to get one into Interestingness these days.
But it means so much more to me that so many folks have stopped by to see any of my images, and comment even. That is really a treat. I heard Catherine Jamieson (Utata group) on the radio this week and she said that it is like having your precious artwork put on the family refrigerator, like when you were a child. Good analogy! Yeah, I must have not had many of my childish creations put on my mom's fridge, for I do so enjoy this flickr fun now, ha ha!

The photo is on the 5/9 Explore/Interestingness which won't get to Leech or to Scout until 5/10.
I have discovered this 'trick' about Explore (how to see the photos the day before)..... You'll have to check tomorrow to see what its rating turns out to be.
But, yes, it is there. :)
PS THe first time I found out I had a picture on Explore was 6 weeks AFTER my first one had made it. No one had told me about Explore - I had to find out on my own -- so by going through the photos of others, I hope to generate people to visit our group, and also enlighten people about Explore. It's a thrill to be on Explore, and I want to help make people aware that they have 'made it.' Scout will tell you what number it reached, if you happen to first look on Leech tomorrow, and do not see it.

Doxieone, you are a gem! This is amazing! You are right about the fact that it may not appear for me tomorrow, but that would explain why some images in the past were told to me that they were on Explore, but then I never found them.
One thing weird about Interestingness is the way a photo can be "there" and then minutes later be gone, (cobalt makes that Twilight Zone sound of woooo-wee-ooooooh -weee)

This image is somewhere between page 15 and page 23 on the Explore/Interestingness feature of flickr right now. It will move up, down or even off, depending on how many folks keep looking at it or faving it. I was amazed to see in my own account that it is within the top 20 of all my photos (over 1,800) with favs, comments and what flickr says is "interesting". Hmmmmm, who can figure how these things work.
