I have no idea who this guy was but he was an unsuspecting target. This is probably my favorite shot. Best viewed at full size.

Hey Campin' Guy! This is a wonderful shot!
Where exactly by Lower Y. Falls is this guy
standing? This would be a great shot to go
back to for more shots!

Well you go down the trail to the big rock,
not the big rock over there but the OTHER big
rock then hang a right. When you come to the
bridge slow down and keep a look out.
There'll be a guy at the end of the bridge
with a camera. IF you go past him you've gone
too far. Hang a left at the end of the brige
and you'll start passing pine trees. Keep
going. The path'll start getting rough as you
start scrambling over rocks but when you come
to the BIG rock right at the base of the
falls --- that's not it. It's the OTHER
BIGGER rock.
It'd be easier to find if someone put a
Chevy up on blocks there somewhere abouts.

Ha ha! Thanks for the detailed
description... the Chevy on blocks is not a
bad idea since it would be quite obvious! :^D
So this is just near the bridge, I see. I
was thinking it was higher up a bit, maybe
requiring some rock scrambling. Well, if I
go back there and have someone stand in front
of the falls with a fully loaded backpack for
a dramatic hiker shot, I'll just make sure I
don't label the location, ha ha! Thanks
again!

This is amazing! great shot, I love it!
You could have framed it more to the right,
but then you'll have missed the rock
geometry, cool choice.
