Anti-capitalist protestor in Edinburgh during 2005 G8 trouble.

The recent new coverage of the G8 related trouble in Germany has reminded me.

Great shot, if a little disturbing it has to be said. Some people I guess are not what we class as "normal" and people expressing themselves like this dont exactly further any cause, except to get the fasion police on their backs.

I totally disagree with the previous comment - I have nothing but respect and admiration for the protester's courage. It's a shame not to be considered "normal" if you find the worlds problems (and they are BIG problems that cost lives) intolerable.

She might not be a pretty subject but she obvious has conviction and I'd like to think she doesn't pay her council tax either.

I do agree, however, that it's a great shot.

I have respect for the protesters and I do suport the halting of most the problems they fight for, but do it in a nice way and not a nasty, angry, (sometimes violent) obvious attempt to anger people.

They turn more people away from the cause, than attracting them to it.

Sadly., They get on the news, the respectful ones dont.

I think a protestor like that is somewhat self serving, how would she expect anyone to take her truly seriously when she lugs her baps out to save the world? Who would want to sit down and listen to anything she has to say when its entirely obvious that she is neither rational nor objective?

It is however a great shot!
