For Annie..........
Hi guys...
Thank for your kindness over the last few months..
sadly Annie died last night...
she passed away peacfully with us by her side..
She made the brave decision not to try to fight the cancer
were of course heatbroken at her passing but happy that she wont have to suffer anymore...
She was a remarkable lady who took me into her family and treated me as if i were one of her own ...
Annie our beautiful kind hearted Mother, Grandmother and Greatgrandmother..
God bless her and god bless you all for your prayers and kind wishes...
Ive sat here for hours trying to think of words to say,but they just wont come..
Other than my life was better for knowing her and being part of her family
who never cease to amaze me with thier down to earth love, closeness ,honesty
and ability to find laughter even in the worst times..
I was going to say ill miss her but i wont because she will always be in my heart...
my love and thanks to your kind messages and mail...
much much love andrew xo

Workington in crisis
hi guys ..
just to say thanks to those of you who have sent emails asking how we are..
grandma is still very poorley but in hospital now and comfatable...
oscar has had a few more sieziures but he is a survivour...
as for us we are safe and well.
we live in workington which im sure all of you in the uk are aware is in a bit of a state..
on weds thursday last week cumbria suffered the worst rainfall over a period of 36 hours ,,
6 months rain in fact fell across the county flooding Cockermouth and decimating the town centre so sad to see ,Keswick was also affected as were many many towns..
we had a small area of flooding across from the foot of town over the millfields
(the place where i take most of my swan and nature shots ) and most of the hamlet of Bearpot was flooded..
we thought we had missed the most of the flooding when we went to bed on thurs
eve..
but we woke up at about six am to the sound of sirens and helicopters..
to our shock the river cocker and derwent convulged into one massive torrent of water..
the main road bridge which connents the two sides of town the north and south side collapsed under the stress of the deluge of water sadly killing a local policman..
the rescue teams and police the closed all bridges across the river cutting us into two halves..
since then both foot brigdges and camerton bridge have collapsed too..
We are at present waiting to see if the bridge wich is at the foot of the road above is
going to collapse ..
if this happens we will really be in a mess as it carries the gas and electric supplies to both sides of the town..
there is a possibilitie that we are going to be plunged into total darkness with out any gas either..
its so sad for most residents across the county of cumbria many folk have lost thier homes and livelihood ..and so close to christmas too ...
we have family and friends across the river they live about ten mins from us..
at present they have to make an 85 mile round trip to get to this side of the town,,
thet are not doing well across at Seaton ,Northside ,Bearpot , Dearham ETC
this is an horrendous event described as a Biblical disaster by our local mp..
we have even had a visit from the Primeminister...
i want to say that the police , rescue teams and the army are doing a wonderous job
trying to make some sense of this mess..
my family.friends and i are so greatful to the fact that we still have our homes
and health we are the lucky ones.
please say prayers for those most affected by this freak event...
im going to try to catch up and reply to you mail but that only if calva bridge stays standing as otherwise we will have no leccie...
God Bless you for your kind emails texts etc for worrying and caring...
hope that your well and good luck...
Andrew.................xoxoxoxo
