love & mercy

This is one variation of a design im working on for a buddy of mine who is getting married this summer inshallah. It is a rotation of the words
muwadda (~love) and
rahma (~mercy) in calligraphy. It is based off of the Quranic ayah:
"And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect." 30:21 (Yusuf Ali tr)

its a bit of both. every one eighth was
first done freehand as calligraphy. then I
outlined it with a solid pen and put it into
the computer - rotated it 8 times, then added
the blues on the computer.
