Jj is for jam. So technically its preserves but we call it jam. And we eat lots of it and sing:

jam on biscuits, jam on toast,
jam is the thing that i like most...
raspberry, strawberry, gooseberry, i'm very
FOND...OF...JAM!

and yes, bread and jam for frances is one of our favorite books :)

we planted three tomato plants in clay pots this year. nothing says summer like picking handfuls of fresh tomatoes, still warm from the sun every afternoon.
