Close upFriday mornings involve making multiple bread doughs, desserts, etc. Didn't have to wake the kids today because it's February vacation! w00t! Friday afternoon checklist Friday dinner menu Saturday lunch menu Guest list with food preferences and allergies. This information is necessary for the current Friday, but can be particularly helpful when looking for information from years past. Didn't have to pick up or drop off the kids today because it's February vacation! w00t! This is where I put the top three priorities for the day. On non-Fridays, there is room for more items, in the spot where the Friday menus are today. On Fridays, most of my priorities involve cooking. Personal checklist: B= breakfast V= vitamins W= water (I'm trying to be more consistant with these. The list has been very helpful to remind me, especially with the water.) The checkboxes are the character zero ("0") with a space before the descritption Water tally is done with eight zeros, each followed by a number with a superscript. I expect to hear about religious requests, vegetarianism, organic preference, allergies... Believe it or not, this is a stripped-down Friday list. There is another label-full for when we have guests staying over for the weekend. It seems the dietary requests have become more specific over the years... We've had people say, "I'm allergic to avocados", "No pine nuts, please", or "bananas make me itch." an 8 point font yields about a dozen entries on an address label, when held vertically Having the menu structure pre-printed helps me focus, not to forget items, and to keep from overpreparing. (I have a portion control problem. I need a 12-step program: Overpreparers Anonymous.)

==================== UPDATE (5/2007): By request, The template for the daily label is now availabe here: for (free) download here. ==================== This is the setup for Friday (today). Fridays are complicated. Fridays are my busiest days, with many checklists, and two menu plans for formal meals. (These meals are ritualized, with recurring mandatory courses, so they lend themselves to a partially printed description. I don't do menu plans for the regular weekdays.) Monday through Thursday, I use only the one "weekday" vertical list and the one "daily" horizontal list. http://www.JugglingFrogs.com CommentsJuggling Frogs (clkl) says:Thank you, Gifted Gourmet!
