'Twas the coldest winter I had known...

I love Montana ghost towns, such a window (and in fact our only real window) into the short but rich history of our state. Abandoned homes, shops, and mills of yesteryear leave a footprint of what brought people here in the first place: mining. I don't blame at all, but the hardships they endured out here always make me question the true benefits of such a gamble. Needless to say, there are a lot of graves here to show for their decisions.

Summit Smoke

Summit Smoke

A half day trek brought us to the top of small mountain overlooking the Bozeman Valley. Awesome fall colors going on right now, but no photo of it this time. Pretty sure I've gotten my roomate hooked on the summit victory smoke tradition. Hopefully it'll get him hooked onto climbing in the future. Stay tuned.

Dorm Life I

Dorm Life I

Life in a montana dorm building is... unique, especially 6th floor. The whole level has guys on each side of the spectrum in terms of opinions, lifestyle, and majors. While some of them don't really see eye-to-eye with me over some issues, I welcome it. Besides, why would want to hang out with people that I agree with? Oh, and there is a pair down the hall that can play some mean bluegrass.
