The Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye.
These delightful, magical pools are easily accessed from the Glen Brittle area in the Isle of Skye.
The river begins quite ordinary and nothing that would prepare you for this natural wonder.
At one point the path leaves the river and you can continue that way but me being me decided to follow the river, over rocks and splashing around. So as always off the trail a little and you find something that not everyone gets to see.
This perfect view (Not traditional view) of the Fairy pools, 5 tiered layers with there own little turquoise plunge pools. I tried as best to try and capture this scene to show off the colour and a fairytale sense to it.
I didn't bother with the usual view of the fairy pools, for me its in my mind and easily accessed via the net, I wanted something alternative for the Fairy pools to show it off and be a little more unique, so hopefully I achieved it. If you don't know what I mean just Google Fairy Pools, Skye, you will see what I mean.

EDIT - Also an interesting fact - The Battle of Coire Na Creiche (Battle of Benquhillan) was a Scottish clan battle fought in the Isle of Skye in 1601. It was the culmination of a year of feuding between Clan MacLeod of Dunvegan and the Clan MacDonald of Sleat, that ended with a MacDonald victory in Coire Na Creiche on the northern slopes of the Cuillin hills. It was the last clan battle on Skye.
