Star of Wonder
My aunt and uncle received this handcrafted nativity set while
missionaries in Ecuador.
LIGHTING: Rather unsophisticated actually. Lit overhead with a
4-cell maglight flashlight thru a blue Cokin filter pointing directly
down (note circular light pattern around stable). Hand held two
additional flashlights above and behind camera right and left pointing
into the stable to light faces of characters and minimize shadows.
Star is an LED pen-light suspended on string with the bulb on the same
plane as the front edge of the stable. Camera on tripod triggered
with self-timer (my hands were busy holding flashlights!). Took
several shots playing with exposure and white-balance...
