calligraphies, set announcement

    mosaic for 4 variations group. Poster-like image for my most recent series.

    Flickr also has a new group set announcements that nicely fills feature void! I used this mosaic and posted there, everyone join if you like sets! Be sure to read the rules of course!

    The slideshow version is especially lovely, 3 seconds is a good interval.

      how neat and unusual! it reminds me of gently curling smoke, as seen from the bottom as it rises. To emulate this in oils would be extremely challenging and a lot of fun. I like it as it is.

      this set is so cool! I love that you used the negative of you originaly images - it really gives great buoyancy to your images. Wonderful!

      sorry about that. I thought you had invited me to this pool of photos. i don't have a premium account so I'm limited on the number of sets i can create.

      byte, ahh, I hadn't considered the uses of that group for non-pro. Hmmm... interesting. The idea was you do one forum post and one collage to "announce" when you have new sets. Others can browse the pool or forum to experience flickr in a new way.

      briefly! The explore page is so momentary when it chooses a photo. It's long gone.

      i meam the whole curve thing going on is a tade on the awsome side while the inverted colors make it seem like it is a real cry for help by the artist who created these but i have to ask you chickybd what was the meadium for these photos they seem a little on the wierd side that is not to say that they are not really cool but i can still not help but wounder what was the insperation for these increadble works of art??? i have been following what you do for about three months and i have been stunded and amazed by the concern shown in these photos and the brillence that is caught on fire buy the light that comes from these pics all and all they are really cool and you are a really good person to look up to which i do i a lot of ways... you have made me want to start up photagraphy again i used to be a long time resident of california dbut now i live in the small little city of abququerque and you have inpressed upon me the importance of taking pics of ordenary things and making then seem different in some way or a nother well i have to go the turkey buzzer just went off well hope to meant you some day and see you later and happy thanksgiving to everybody

      @lemmonlime
      the medium is crappy digital camera, 2.1mp, with unusual camera movement techniques. the inversion and duotone was simply to enhance the part of this subject i was interested in, the texture. Light trails on black get boring after a while when you work with them as much as I do. The only reason I choose a yellow duotone was because the original subject was yellow. And thank you for the testimonial! Although flickr has a separate feature just for that, go to my profile and add one if you so desire.

      THe slideshow is very good, but i prefer 4seconds interval, it takes time to watch the wave & pattern, with the wind.

      The nicest camera toss images I've seen. Elegant.

    32. clickykbd (79 months ago | reply)

      thanks carol... camera toss was my baby... I like to think I am still pretty good at it... though admittedly much of the community has caught up with me as I have not done any for some months now.
