Some impromptu camera tossing for the video crew of ABC's World News Tonight. They interviewed me on the topic of Camera Toss in conjunction with their larger profile of Flickr.
I don't consider these results at all that wondeful. But we selected a location more for the benefit of their cameras than mine. ;-)
As far as I know the piece has not aired yet.

whoa lucky mister...sounds like a cool opportunity
flickr is blowing up, eh?

This one was my favorite, hence uploaded last. It does have some nice elements... the subtle chasing spirals of the little yellow lights... and the centered red. But overall it was still too light out at that location and too busy of a subject for the results that I really enjoy.

@rysq-it
not lucky really... I hate being asked to do this for television now... had more than my dose of that annoying coverage in Germany. This piece will probably be the last I agree to.

Also: listen to Mr. Big Shot, with the luxury of refusing TV interviews! Awesome.

haha automaton...
It's not the interview that bothers me... it's the "can you dance like a monkey and throw your camera for our cameras"... usually without much effort made to portray it in a realistic light. I have not decided to start declining interviews... just the dancing like a monkey part. ;-) Although if they insisted, I would probably decline the whole thing.

Cool - you are famous!

It's amusing... one of the first "off flickr" comments I remember reading about camera toss eons ago was "If this guy was known already, this would be the highest of high art, but as he is unknown, it is just cool photography".
What a sham. But now, as @danzen points out, I am famous (haha). So logically... perhaps my next adventure won't be recieved in such a mixed response "pop culture" way.
One can only wonder. ;-) And I hope. Cause this pop culture crap makes me sick. ;-)

Damn that monkey business. It's like attending a party where everyone wants to know what you do for a living. They want you to jump through hoops. They should try tossing their cameras through hoops.
Great shot anyway. Sweet dangerous colours.

I don't know about you, but I consider this pretty wonderful, indeed.
