Kan Tan IV
The Kan Tan IV - Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig ferried from Trinidad/Tobago to Australia a voyage of some 45 days. The rig is in Geelong for a major refit and will be there for 6-8 weeks.

The 13000 tonne rig stands102.5m high and 83.8m long, can drill depths up to 7620m (25000 Feet).
Originally built as Western Pacesetter IV by Far East Levingstone Shipbuilding in Singapore in 1982.
The rig was sold to China National Petroleum Star Co. in 1994, it has been managed and operated by Maersk Drilling since 2001
The rig will be drilling off Gippsland after the refurbishment.
